TT: Summertime Lemonade.

TASTEY TUESDAY

For me, in the summer, there is nothing better than fresh strawberry lemonade.
Seriously.
It always just seems to hit the right spot.

I came across this recipe years ago and haven't found a better one.
The trick is cooking the strawberries and using FRESH lemons.

Strawberry Lemonade:
You'll need lemons (about 8), granulated sugar, strawberries and water.

Step 1: Juice the lemons until you have 1 1/2 cups of juice. (add pulp if desired)
Add 2 cups of water.
Step 2: In small pot combine 1/2 cup water with 1 cup sugar and 1 pint of
strawberries that have been hulled and sliced. Cook over medium heat until
sugar has dissolved and strawberries are softening. Take off stove and cool.
Step 3: Pour strawberry/sugar/water mixture into small blender and puree.

Step 4: Combine strawberry syrup with lemon/water mixture.

Step 5: Chill and serve.

I hope that you and your family will enjoy the fresh lemonade. I know my family sure does.
